Syntax

valign=" { baseline | bottom | middle | top } "

Description

In a very similar manner to the align attribute for this element, the valign allows you to override the default alignment for table cells inside the foot of the table.

Example

The valign attribute is set to "top" on this narrow table:

<table summary="Interest Rates" width="200" border="1">
  <caption>Interest Rates</caption>
  <thead>
    <tr>
      <th>Account Type</th>
      <th>Interest Rate</th>
    </tr>
  </thead>
  <tfoot valign="top">
    <tr>
      <td>Recommended for you: 'Young Saver'</td>
      <td>Interest from: 1.6%</td>
    </tr>
  </tfoot>
  <tbody>
    <tr>
      <td>Smart</td>
      <td>From 2%</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
      <td>Young Saver</td>
      <td>From 1.6%</td>
    </tr>
  </tbody>
</table>
