Syntax
Description
The
width attribute does exactly what you would expect
it to - sets the width of the marquee
element.
Without a width attribute, the
marquee element behaves like a block-level element,
taking up 100% of the containing element/window. If you apply a
width, the marquee then behaves like an inline
element.
Example
The width
attribute set to "300":
<marquee width="300">Latest News</marquee>
Value
A number representing the width of the marquee in pixels or as a percentage.

Generally well
supported (IE, Safari, Opera) but Firefox ignores the
width completely, rendering the
marquee at 100% width.
