Syntax

marginwidth="Width in pixels"

Description

This is a very rudimentary styling attribute that allows you to specify a width in pixels between the content and the sides of the frame. Note that you cannot set a different value for the left and right sides.

Example

The main frame in this frameset has a 10 pixel margin applied to the sides:

<frameset rows="100,*" >
  <frame src="header.html" frameborder="1"/>
  <frame src="home.html" frameborder="0" marginwidth="10"/>
</frameset>

Value

Width in pixels.

Every browser listed supports this attribute.

Applying a marginwidth is not the best way to set styles like this - you are better off using Cascading Style Sheets to define how pages should look within a frame (you also have the benefit of being able to set different values for a document’s left and right sides in CSS).
