oncontextmenu (HTML attribute)

Syntax

oncontextmenu="disableRightClick();"

Description

This attribute is used to identify them moment when the user activates the contextual menu for a control/element on a page (either by right-mouse-click or keyboard equivalent).

Value

No fixed value - could be a call to one or more defined functions or a simple alert() statement.

Compatibility

Non-standard event defined by Microsoft for use in Internet Explorer. May work in some other browsers but cannot be reliably used. Compatibility for this non-standard attribute not tested.
